Helen was married to film director Prem Narayan Arora (film Dil Daulat Duniya fame) in 1957, who was 27 years older than her. The couple parted away in 1974. In 1981, She remarried to Salim Khan, a prominent screenplay writer. Salim Khan was already married and the father of four children; Salman, Arbaz, Suhail and Arpita. Helen joined the large khan family. Helen is closely bonded with her step Childrens.
