The couple own D’décor company. His youngest daughter Sussanne Khan was married to actor Hritik Roshan, now divorced and son Zayed Khan married to Malaika.

He was briefly married to actress Zeenat Aman. They parted away less than a year of marriage. As per the media reports this relationship was difficult for Zeenat Aman, having suffered domestic violence including being beaten brutally by Sanjay in the presence of various guests. Zeenat Aman has lost the sight from her right eye because of the abuse done by Khan.
